Numbed HeartI hid myself away,
Praying that you would never find me.
Those lies I meant to tell carved itself into a void,
When I forced out the words that faded through the cluttered space between us.
It lay like a heavy mist,
Hovering there in the empty silence.
I took everything back,
Feeling the inner walls crash down on me.
While I shook and trembled,
I found comfort in the confusion I saw.
You never did deserve to know.

Fire DanceThe fire licks my skin,
and makes dancing shadows on the wall,
it's controlled by a devil within,
activated by a final fall.
Brought so close to death,
and the thing I have left to cling to is a flame,
it's a flame of hope, of desire, it's like your meth,
with this fire I need no fame.
It fills every inch of me,
I need nothing now,
it's the only thing to set me free,
it wraps around me like a freshly dried towel.
It's the only light I see anymore,
when it's dark, I find this light,
and though the flames leave me sore,
it's better than the night.

The groomThere he stands
The prince of charm
At the altar
Awaiting his future
Dressed
In black realization
Of the truth
Uncrowned
Having
No innocence to hide
Awaiting his white rose
To later color it
With red passion
There he stands
The eagle of pride
Next to his dove
Holding his present
Sweeping the vile back
Symbolizing his opening of the rose
Soon
He will bid the pure swan goodbye
He will color the white rose
But not now
Now he lets it be her day
Looking with passionate eyes

The swan of elegance
Down the aisle
Of her future
Dressed
In white innocence
Of virginity
Crowned
With the vile
Symbol of purity
The white rose
To be colored
With red passion
There she stands
The dove of beauty
